We borrowed a recipe from Epicurious and added our amazing cannabutter. Yummy recipe for those who plan to stay in this St. Paddy’s weekend but still want to have a little fun.

»Make sure you have your supply of cannabutter ready «


◊ Nonstick vegetable oil spray

◊ 2 cups all-purpose flour

◊ 5 tablespoons sugar, divided

◊ 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

◊ 1 teaspoon salt

◊ 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

◊ 3 tablespoons cannabutter, chilled, cut into cubes

◊ 1 cup buttermilk

◊ 2/3 cup raisins



Makes 1 loaf  

Total time: 1 hour 10 minutes

◊ Preheat your oven to 375°F.

◊ Spray 8-inch-diameter cake pan with nonstick spray.

◊ Whisk the flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in large mixing bowl.

◊ Add cannabutter and use your fingertips to rub in until a coarse meal forms.

◊ Make well in the center of flour mixture.

This is a dough well…

◊ Add buttermilk and gradually stir dry ingredients into milk.

◊ Then, mix in the raisins.

◊ Rub your hands in flour and shape the dough into a ball.

◊ Transfer to sprayed pan and flatten slightly (dough will not come to edges of pan).

◊ Sprinkle the dough with remaining 1 tablespoon sugar.

◊ Bake the bread for about 40 minutes, or until brown and tester inserted into center comes out clean.

◊ Let the bread sit in the pan and cool for about 10 minutes.

◊ Can be served warm or at room temperature.
