“Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.”
We’ve found a handful of presidents that will be celebrating this President’s Day with a fat doobie.
Doug Weed, bush’s adviser, released a recorded phone call between him and Bush having a discussion on smoking cannabis in the past. (Yes Mr. Weed is his real name)
When asked during an interview if he had ever tried marijuana Clinton stated “I didn’t like it, and didn’t inhale, and never tried it again.” We take this statement as seriously as “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
Obama openly admitted smoking during a presidential debate and on many other occasions. He was even caught smoking a nicely rolled joint in Kenya.
Thomas Jefferson had the Declaration of Independence drafted on hemp paper and also grew hemp on his plantation. He once said “Some of my finest hours have been spent sitting on my back veranda, smoking hemp and observing as far as my eye can see.” Another one of his most popular quotes is “Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.”
George Washington also grew hemp on his plantation and once said “Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere.”
Benjamin Franklin started the first Hemp paper mill and this gave Americans the opportunity to have its own supply of paper.
Happy President’s day
